Humanity’s oldest industry is rapidly modernizing.

  1. The US and allies cannot decouple supply chains from China without mining and processing minerals domestically. It’s that simple. China is dominant across most minerals relied upon for a 21st century digital existence. For now.

  2. The energy transition requires mineral-intensive technologies. The same amount of copper must be mined in the next 22 years as in the previous 10,000. This is a difficult situation — but possible to resolve.

These factors converge to mean rapid growth of critical minerals in the West, and technologies and mining ventures are rapidly emerging to meet this growth.
